Classroom Stages is presented in partnership with CODE, the Council of Ontario Drama and Dance Educators.

Classroom Stage One is for Grades K to 4 - The Name Jar
Classroom Stage Two is for Grades 5 to 8 - My Name is Sepeetza

This day-long workshop is designed to help the elementary school teacher achieve the Ministry of Education curriculum expectations in Drama and Dance by giving them strategies and techniques for integrating the objectives into their daily lesson plans.

These day-long workshops are designed to support the elementary school teacher deliver the Ministry of Education Curriculum expectations in Drama and Dance by providing high-yield strategies and techniques for integrating the objectives into their daily lesson plans and improving student achievement. Written and facilitated by current Ontario Drama and Dance teachers, the content will be practical, hands-on, realistic and measurable.

The workshops will explore issues of naming and identity through two source texts (picture books and novels) using drama and dance techniques, and will emphasize cross-curricular connections and links to the new elementary curriculum, including a review of report card writing strategies in the Drama and Dance component.
Designed for the new and experienced teacher alike, the workshop is suitable as a school or Board P.D. Activity; delivered in a theatre space and environment and available for junior or senior elementary class curriculum.

Saturday, September 19 from 10am to 3pm in Toronto and London.

In Toronto: Alumnae Theatre, 70 Berkeley Street (at King and Parliament)
In London: Palace Street, 710 Dundas Street East (at Dundas and Adelaide)

Cost: $20.00 per participant. (Non-CODE members or non-Theatre Ontario members is $30.00)
Maximum 20 per workshop.
