Membership

Our members come from every corner of the province and represent every aspect of theatre - actors, directors, musical theatre performers, designers, technicians, theatre managers, teachers, students, playwrights, producers, audience members, studios and more.

Your membership helps to:

  • Raise the profile of theatre and Canadian plays on Ontario stages;
  • Link audiences to theatre activities and productions around Ontario;
  • Celebrate excellence and showcase achievements through festivals and awards;
  • Provide training, workshops, resources, and apprenticeship bursaries to individuals and theatres, especially those who are just beginning or have limited resources;
  • Support, sustain and grow all of Theatre Ontario's activities and programs.

Groups (theatres or other organizations) - $165

Your Membership Includes:

  • Access to workshops and counselling, training, auditions, productions, special forums, career information, and networking.
  • A link to people and theatres across Ontario.  Theatres receive free listings in the ONstage section of Theatre Ontario News and website.
  • An opportunity to place a resume in our Non-Union Talent Files for performers and for non-performers.
  • A membership card so you can take advantage of a 20% discount on Theatre Ontario publications.  Theatres and other member organizations receive a 10% discount on scripts ordered from TheatreBooks (minimum quantity 5).
  • Five issues of Theatre Ontario News containing timely information on theatre all over Ontario (awards, profiles, training, productions, new resources and plays).
  • Access to Theatre Ontario's resource library and information network on not-for-profit theatre.
  • An opportunity to shape the future directions in theatre and keep in touch with issues affecting arts, education, training, funding, theatre management, volunteers and audience development.
