Theatre has a unique ability to allow young people to open up, branch out, and step into new and exciting roles. This course is specifically designed for anyone looking for practical and fun ways to teach drama to children and youth. During this course participants will learn various drama exercises for young people ages 5-18 that explore character development, improvisation, movement, new play creation and ensemble building among others. Participants will be encouraged to share their own warm ups, exercises, drama games to ensure everyone has a robust toolkit to educate young people with confidence. Please note that participants will be asked to engage in some drama exercises as if they are the intended youth age group. So join us this summer as we look at teaching some seriously fun lessons!
