Make your application to the Ontario Arts Council the best it can be! Get easy-to-follow tips, and learn about common mistakes to avoid. During this pre-recorded webinar, Pat Bradley will introduce Ontario Arts Council's online grant application system, Nova.
Pat Bradley (Theatre Officer at the OAC) takes you behind the scenes of the selection process and shares her perspective, information, and advice about project grants, particularly the OAC’s three theatre project programs:
- Theatre Projects
- Playwright Residency
- Theatre Creators’ Reserve
Individual artists, collectives and ad hoc groups are eligible for project grants, with emerging, mid-career and senior theatre artists able to apply. Applications are available on line at: www.arts.on.ca.
This is an information session for those with limited grant writing experience and/or knowledge of Ontario Arts Council programs.
Meet the Instructor...
Pat Bradley has been the OAC’s Theatre Officer since 2001 and has managed the Compass program since 2007. She was Research Manager from 2003 to 2008 and managed the transition of the Arts Service Organizations program from the Ministry of Culture to the OAC in 2004. She is a member of the steering committee of the Ontario Nonprofit Network and serves on working groups that address issues of interest to the community. She is the founding chair of the Canadian Arts Data/Données sur les arts au Canada (CADAC). She teaches in the MBA program at the Schulich School of Business (arts and media administration), of which she is a graduate. Her past positions include Executive Director of the Professional Association of Canadian Theatres, Culture Officer for the Municipality of Metropolitan Toronto, Arts Officer at the Ontario Ministry of Culture and Executive Director of the Professional Writers Association of Canada. She served on the Ontario Status of the Artist working group for the Ministry of Culture, was a founder of ArtsVote Toronto, was President of the Canadian Conference of the Arts and served on boards for Buddies in Bad TimesTheatre and STAF. She received a Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal in recognition of service to the arts community.
