Hot Scenes: Building Your Acting Technique with Brenda Kamino
Sunday August 12 to Friday August 17, 2018
Factory163, 163 King St, Stratford, Ontario
Be in control of your approach to acting. With scenes and monologues from world and Canadian theatre as the media and group work led by the instructor, learn to apply your technique to every role you audition for, land, and perform. Build your acting vocabulary and confidence with a professionally-oriented workshop intended to aid participants in achieving truthful, interesting and consistent work. This course demands some preparation prior to attendance. Throughout the week we will develop and exercise the actor’s tools to increase communication, imagination, self-awareness, and listening skills as well as finding and building characters, and expressing the truth in every role. Beginners with some experience may attend as well as intermediate and advanced actors – Brenda is excited to have students from previous summers return to upgrade and build on their skills. Resume required with application.
