Reviewing your Revue: Creating a Musical Theatre Performance

This fun and challenging workshop offers participants a practical approach to creating and performing a musical production. Directed by award-winning writer/performers David Gale and Randy Vancourt, the course breaks down the process involved in staging a musical, with a focus on choosing material and quickly and effectively learning music, harmonies, lyrics, text and choreography. Using improvisation, basic movement, vocal technique and lyric analysis, the participants will create and build a show by the end of the week. The course will establish the vocal range of participants (focusing on melody, harmony and choral work), and through movement, voice and character work, provide the tools necessary to create a musical production.
