Dr. Ross Stuart

Ross_StuartRoss Stuart is an experienced director and academic administrator who teaches group devised theatre, improvisation and new play dramaturgy at York University in Toronto.  He has adapted a number of classic plays and novels for the contemporary stage, particularly for educational theatre and done workshop productions of new plays.  He has directed and stage managed professionally in summer theatre, adjudicated at festivals throughout Ontario, and conducted workshops in improvisation, acting, directing, lighting and playwriting.  An expert in musical theatre and Canadian theatre history, he has published extensively and helped found the Canadian Theatre Review journal.
