How Do I Make This Play Happen? Directing for Beginners

A class specifically designed for the beginning and intermediate director seeking to explore practical techniques and approaches to directing.  A master class in directing for beginners, the week will be spent exploring the art of rehearsal, from the standpoint of the director.  The class will take the form of a rehearsal hall, and we will work through each scene, preparing the director's book, auditioning, casting, blocking, rehearsing, and finally letting go and handing it off to the stage manager.  Over the course of the week, participants will have the opportunity to explore scenes from plays, cast, rehearse, collaborate, discover and share warm-ups and character exercises and challenge themselves as directors.
