Education Assistant

Theatre Ontario is seeking an Education Assistant to assist our Professional Theatre and Education Manager with the preparation of our annual adult summer theatre courses and to support our membership and communications departments and Youth Advisory Committee. Key duties include: maintaining summer training participants' information, preparing and updating forms, processing payments, preparing and sending out information packages, preparing class lists, name tags, and certificates, and assisting with on-site course management duties in Stratford, Ontario for the training duration.

This position is 30 hours/week, paying $14.00 per hour starting June 27, 2018 and finishing August 21, 2018.  Most work days will be spent at our office in downtown Toronto, with the exception of our Summer Intensive weeks from August 5-17th when you will be on-site in Stratford, Ontario.

In order to apply you must be currently enrolled in a secondary or post-secondary institution or within 6 months of graduation.  Age requirements are from 15 - 24 *(up to 29 for persons with a disability.)

Required skills: an interest in theatre, customer service experience, good communication skills (written and verbal), research skills, and strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Experience with social media marketing is an asset.
